Watch out for these ‘light’ summer meals that are anything but!

Caprese salad

You're dining on a restaurant patio, and you decide to order this delicious Caprese salad composed of Buffalo mozzarella, fresh tomatoes and pesto—an Italian delight that seems light but carries significant caloric weight. For just under a 1/2 cup serving of mozzarella (which is less than a typical restaurant serving), you're already at 270 calories. And that's before the olive oil and pesto sauce. Most Italian restaurants serve this as merely an appetizer, but you'd be wiser to take it as your meal.
