Potato gratin is probably one of the most well-known cheesy baked dishes in existence, and it's no wonder why. Start by peeling and finely slicing the potatoes into thin rounds. Layer them in a garlic-rubbed baking dish, and add cream, grated gruyere or swiss cheese and seasonings to taste. Continue to layer the ingredients until you've used up all your potatoes. Top with another layer of cheese. Then cover with foil and bake for 40 to 45 minutes at 350 °F. Remove the foil and bake for another 10 minutes until the cheese is golden brown.
