What are microwaves?
Microwaves are a form of electromagnetic radiation. That means that they are literally waves of electrical and magnetic energy, and share this in common with radio waves and visible light we can see.
While exposure to ionizing radiation (like X-rays) do have the potential to damage organic cells (us), microwaves are a form of weaker, non ionizing radiation.
