Yakisoba is a traditional Japanese stir-fried noodle dish prepared with wheat noodles, despite the soba (buckwheat) in its name. The recipe calls for frying up Ramen-like noodles with chopped pork, vegetables, yakisoba sauce and salt and pepper. It's an especially popular dish at street food stalls during Japanese festivals, although it can be found in restaurants as a main course or side dish as well. Common garnishes include seaweed flakes and Japanese pickled ginger. It is to be served with chopsticks, of course.
