RECIPE: Pizza Bread Bowl


Your two guilty pleasures meet in this amazing pizza bread bowl.

Chef Tips and Tricks



  • Round loaf (artisan boule bread)
  • Tomato sauce
  • Mozzarella
  • Salami
  • Onion
  • Basil
  • Pancetta
  • Red bell pepper
  • Cheese
  • Chorizo


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Slice off the top of the boule loaf and use your hands to remove out the filling
  3. Spread tomato sauce along the inside of the boule
  4. Add in layers the mozzarella, salami, onion, basil, and pancetta
  5. Cover with another layer of tomato sauce and a sprinkling of cheese
  6. Place the top of the loaf back on
  7. Wrap in tin foil
  8. Flatten with a heavy objectd
  9. Remove foil and add a layer of chorizo on top, along with another sprinkling of cheese
  10. Put in oven and back for 15 minutes
  11. Serve!

  • Pizza Dough (homemade or store bought)
  • Shredded cheese
  • Pizza sauce
  • Cured ham, shredded
  • 4 eggs
  • Cherry tomatoes
  • Fresh basil


  1. Roll out the dough
  2. Use a small bowl to cut the dough into rounds
  3. Add shredded cheese
  4. Place in oven on an oven tray afr 10 min at 355°F
  5. Put each dough round into a ramekin
  6. Add 1 tbsp pizza sauce, a handful of shredded cured ham 
  7. Break an egg into each pizza
  8. Top with sliced cherry tomatoes and a basil leaf
  9. Place in oven for another 15 mins at 355°F
  10. Garnish with parsley and a pinch of pepper
  11. Serve and enjoy!
