Nordic: Gravlax

It might have an obscure name, but you'll quickly want to become familiar with the flavor of this dish. Turns out, it's just a simple yet succulent Norwegian salmon recipe composed of smoked salmon marinated in coarse salt, sugar and dill. You can eat it as an appetizer or as a light main with boiled potatoes. If you really want to bring out the salmon's flavor, place it on a slice of toasted whole-wheat bread, spread with the traditional accompanying mustard-dill sauce.
