Grilled ham and cheese

Grilled cheese has always been a go-to recipe for lazy cooks, but a little bit of extra protein never hurt. To make, butter two slices of sandwich bread. Add 1 spoonful of heavy cream, a slice of ham and a slice of cheese to one slice of bread. Top with the second bread slice. Cook in the skillet on medium heat until the bread is golden brown, and the cheese is fully melted, about 4 minutes per side. Serve with a simple garden salad. For a more decadent French-style version called Croque-Madame, simply place a fried egg on top, and serve. (You can fry the egg in a separate skillet simultaneously).
