Recipes with turmeric - 11 recipes

By lazar

Recipes with turmeric are very common in Asia and India. Turmeric is a spice that imparts a deep, earthy flavor and a sunflower yellow tint on anything that touches it. Turmeric's antiseptic properties are one of the main reasons why it's so popular; it naturally disinfects your food and detoxes your body. Turmeric is the main ingredient in curry, so if you like to make your own curry mix like I do, then be sure to have loads of turmeric on hand! Apart from curries, you can also use turmeric if you want to brighten up the color of certain dishes, like mashed potatoes or egg salad; just a dash of turmeric will give your food the vibrant yellow color that it was lacking. Tip: if you don't want your fingers to be dyed yellow too, then make sure to use a spoon to dish out the spice.

If you like this, you'll definitely like: turmeric chicken, turmeric with milk, ground cumin, curry powder
