Pasta with mussels

Mussels, and seafood in general, pairs wonderfully with pasta. To make a delicious meal of mussels and spaghetti, start by browning 2 garlic cloves in some olive oil, then add 2 cups canned tomato sauce. Cook on low heat for 30 minutes. In the meantime, place 2 pounds of cleaned mussels in a large pot, add 1 cup white wine, some sliced onions and cook for about 10 minutes. Once the mussels open, pass them through a fine-meshed strainer and add them to the tomato sauce. Cook the spaghetti until al dente, then toss with the mussels and the sauce. Serve with some grated Parmesan on top.
